my bro has an '10 jk that we just got rubi tire/wheels for and he's tagging along with us to moab this weekend. i'm thinking he can handle hell's revenge and fins and things... your thoughts? i'm trying to think of trouble areas and stuff without bypasses but i'm still thinking it's manageable. it's weird having to worry about damaging a vehicle but yeah it's not mine :D

jk peoples unite and post up!

I'd be surprised if he had much trouble on either trail. He may want to take some bypasses depending on driving skill? I'd take my Dodge on Hell's. Not sure about FinsandThings, but possibly.

i figured hr would be fine, it's the new-ish last part of the trail that is my only concern. i think i should be able to manuever him through there just fine though. he can drive, he's had a decent amount of seat time in my old buggy and my current xj so he'll be fine.

on fins and things my only concern is scratching the hell out of the bumpers going up and mainly down some of the steeper stuff. i am tentative about that trail (for his jeep)

I've been taking my 07 4 door JK into places here in Moab that are a lot more challengeing than those two trails. The Jeep will do fine.

yeah i hear ya, but since it's not mine and he doesn't want to beat the piss out of it i have to actually plan for it :D

i figured asking you guys would be a good call

There is really only one big drop on Fins that he will rub the rear bumper on. It just adds personality

i bet i know the exact one you're talking about. the first time i did it in my xj the hitch and the rock got in a fight and the hitch won

i would agree with the personality deal if he didn't just buy it new for like 30k :eek2: i bet he will get into wheeling even more when it's paid for which is luckily in 3 years with that no interest deal :D
i'll just have to wait to build and install stuff until then

so he did hr and fnt with only a couple minor scrapes on the underbody skids and one hitch scrape on fnt (exactly where i imagined)

it did well considering it's a freakin' limo :D

of course, he has been coming to moab with me for years but this was his first time in his own rig. you could tell he was being super careful and maybe even a little scared at first but after a while he got comfortable with it and was having a blast

The first time I went out to Moab in my 4 door JK, it was great. I dont know if I could ever leave my limo behind now.

haha you win. really though the 4doors don't seem that long & low till you get them on the trail, then you're like uh oh

We've taken my sister's stock '07 four door X on Hell's Revenge, Moab Rim, Cliffhanger, Gold Bar Rim, and Metal Masher just fine. We have to use a strap once on Cliffhanger, but other than that, with some occasional creative rock stacking and good spotting, it all went swimmingly.
