ive thought about welding one to it, Ive also seen something done with bees wax and welding but I cannot remember the reasoning :)

I cut the upper and lower part of the head off with a grinder and then grad them with vise grips. Cutting the head off allows less surface on the bolt to be stuck and it gives it a great surface to grab.

Since the windshield bolts are flush you will find grinding the head off hard. You might be able to take a dremel and cut a slot into the head and use either a Impact Screwdriver or a large flat head driver.

Why don't you buy some of those drill out things from the infomercial and let us all know how they really work.

they were the right size :) I rolled it on that side and 2 of them are jacked in there ;)

I'd like to stab the bastard that thought torx was a great idea for outside body bolts. I spent way too much time trying to get 2 out of my windshield frame. the only thing that sucks worse than drilling that sucker out for an easy out is trying to drill through a busted easy out :ugh:

Hahaha the funny thing is I bought some a couple months ago :) maybe I'll try them out LOL

......and then weld a nut to the top, after breaking off stuff inside the bolt. :)

Welding a nut is the easiest/fastest/bestest way I've tried for those things. You get a nice hex to put a socket on, plus a direct application of high heat on the bolt to break loose the rust or whatever is holding it tight.
