Stupid f'n dead batteries!!

I hate dead batteries in the cold!!
Nothing here at work will jump a cold Ford!!!! Wussy car batteries suck!!
Angie is on the way down with the optima equiped jeep....
I think I have 2 dead stinger batts
Jumped it with the miata this morning (optima too) and after a 45min drive to work, there was not enough charge in them to start the damn thing!!

I had to jump a guy's Ford in Wamsutter the other day. I was cold... but not as cold as he was, waiting for an hour in -14 weather in BFE.

That sucks. Happened to me last winter.

My alt kicked it the other day...guessing I drove on the batteries for a day or two. Stuff started turning off while heading home after looking at lights with the family on Monday. First the radio, then the ABS, (taking freeway exit) then the guages, then the airbags, (driving through Draper) then the heater fan, (turning into neighborhood) then the lights...engine starts sputtering, kill the light switch, the engine stayed running until we got home (whew). Batts had 8.5 volts just before I shut it off, 11.6 after. 5 minutes remove alternator. 20 minutes at parts store. 5 minutes to install new alternator. Took 20 hours on the 6amp charger to get it to 95%.

At least you didn't have to drive the freakin' minivan to work.
