Stupid land rover questions

why would you want to remove the EFI??????
As far as ive seen most hard core ones still rock the stock tranny, but i would imagine that Ford trannies might bolt up since they own them

that motor is actually a ancient chrysler motor, still runs pushrods and so forth. they leak oil pretty good and will blow a headgasket everyone once in a while. i know this because i used to work for intermountain vw/land rover and the guy i worked next to make major money off the oil leaks and head gasket repairs.

but the stock axles and running gear are very tough. im sure the trans would hold up to hard wheeling.

last year i ran pritchet and behind the rocks with a guy in a rover buggy and it worked amazing with stock axles and running gear.

as for propane im not sure what intake you would run , and i understand the quorks of the british.

you wanting the weight of the motor or of the complete vehice if the vehicle weight is what your after just look at the door sticker. but the motor if i remember right is cast iron block with cast heads to so pretty heavy.
