My girlfriend purchased this for her 90 golf, We cnt get the damn sensor to stop telling us we have low oil pressure. It must be a faulty light or sensor in the dash.

We purchased the Sunpro Mechanical oil prssure gauge that you just plug into where the old one comes out ( the light sendining one)

I installed it, had good pressure. When you accelerate it blows the damn hose out of the hole. My brother told me its pressure actuated little flange that hold the plastic tube in. I didnt see how it woul dbe able to keep the plastic hose in. Everytime I installed it according to instructions it blew the hose out and made a mess.

Anyone have any suggestions?

he is right. the plastic hose goes into a special fitting that flares it out. if you don't have that fitting, you are screwed...

there should be a smaller tube you slide the plastic hose over then screw the fitting down over that.

It has all the parts, I put it together exactly as the Directiosn tell ya, and when it accelerates it blows the hose out.

there is a little round piece that most people lose. it is the internal compression fitting and it is the most important piece. it looks like a bead with a hole through it. the hose should go through the bead, over the nipple on the pressure unit and have a nut that cranks down on it.
