I met someone in moab this weekend who had the LC engineering low boost setup...I think it was only like 3 psi boost so you didn't have to upgrade the fuel system.

He did not like it at all, and claimed it felt more slugish...

if you want more power, get some higher comp pistons and a stroker kit, as well as a different cam.

contact getbent on this site, he and his brother did this on his brothers runner (not sure of the motor) and the charger was sitting in the garage and I don't recall hearing a single good thing about it.

I think I heard $2500 to $3000 for complete setup.

i was in idaho to play in the mud, two weeks ago, anyway there was a toy up there with an re and a supercharger. that thing was sure sluggish. he had to run around in low range were my 3.0 would pull 4 hi.

I think I were going to add boost to a 22R/RE, I'd try a turbo rather than a supercharger. You can get a lot of parts from a RET motor, like say the exhaust manifold, which simplifies the process quite a bit. From there it's a lot of fabbing to make a turbo work, but as I understand the MAF regulated 22RE is a good setup for adding boost to.

I'd like to turbo my 22RE eventually... just for a little more poop on the street.

yep, completely installed and could never get spark.

i had a really hard time getting any help with it so i pulled it.
i dropped in a 3.0 toy v-6, man does it run gooood!!(thanks turbovee)
it was a real pain in the ass conversion. i now understand why nobody does it. runss really good though.has a ton of power. i run heavy duty birfs and managed to blow up both of them first trip out, so now i'm hunting for a 44 to put under it.

Man, that sucks. Did you pull the dist & try moving it? Sorry about all the trouble, I wish it worked for you.

i didn't, the projects not dead yet, just on hold.i've got another toy that will be an off-road only truggy. it might go in that if i deside not to build a 383 strocker for it.
