leaf springs are cheap and easy IMO

coils flex like a mofo.

and airshox just rock for everything.

i like leafs though because they are dependable and very readable, as in i think its easy to tell what your suspension is going to do with leafs.

i think coils and airshox are unpredictable. but i am going to run airshox soon i hope.

If i was to do it over again i would do the Trail Tough Yj Spring kit with missing links. You can get a lot of Flex with that kit. I just did a SPOA from Spidertrax when i first did mine, now i'm putting YJ's with Missing links in the rear and so far i only have stock rear leaf springs in the front but hopfully i'll ether have CJ or YJ leaf springs.

It sounds like you want to do links but if you don't want to hassle with that or you're not up to building it the YJ spring kit works great and flexes pretty well too.

i like the yj leafs.

my theory is, long and flat makes a better vehicle for flexing.

thats y i run 63 chevys and rears up front.

leaf springs if it were me and i was on a budget.

no one can really answer how much lift it will give you besides yourself. How and where are yoiu mounting the upper buckets? Mounting them under the frame rail will give you way more lift then mounting them along side the frame rail. Thats the beauty of fabrication, you can make it how ever you want it ;)

I would deffinitely want something more than a stock zuk axle, even if you just go with 44s its something more. You're doing all the work, may as well only do it once.

Listen to supergper mit as well do the axle swap now while your doing the suspension. In stead of later when you wont a stronger axle. I'm putting Toyota axles under my sami now.

Axle swaps aren't a straight thing in those. The rear axle is offset as well as the front.

The stock axles can handle a 33 without breaking so long as you're not heavy footed. You really can't get to heavy with 50 hp anyway.

If you're going the jeep eater (or whatever it's called) kit that gives you like 5 inches lift and extends the wheelbase 3 inches.

It's also just as important to regear that thing as it to modify the suspension, they're horribly undergeared. Look at doing a 6:1 in the t-case.

The toyota axle swap is a very common swap. I am also doing the Toyota axle swap in mine. I have a BIL and a friend that have also done this swap and are very happy with it.
