Swr readings

I finally got the right components together to install my CB radio today. After hooking it to my SWR meter, I followed the directions but am not sure if I believe the readout. The gauge starts at 1.0 and when I key the mic on ch 19 the needle doesn't even move. If I change channels nearer to 1 or 40 the needle slightly bumps to about 1.1. Am I just the luckiest guy on earth or does my meter sound busted?

I've got a meter you can throw on it if you want to double check you readings. I think that the antennas come pretty well tuned these days, that would just leave it to how good of a ground you got on the mount.

You could make a fortune selling CBs that require zero tuning!

If my ground was bad wouldn't my SWR be at a 4?
