SXS Oils?

Need to do some of that rotten M word on a couple sxs's. 2016 rzr570 and 2019 rzr900 if it matters.

Does it REALLY matter what oils I use in the transmission and front diff?

Readily available oils from walmart/autozone appeal to me MUCH more, as I will actually purchase and change oil. When I have to specifically order stuff, and go to specialty stores and pay specialty prices.. I tend to not do it as often.

Polaris is very specific on the trans and front diff. I just use their recommended fluids.

Rear dif I run Maxima MTL 80W which is essentilly 10w40 but the front dif you should use the proper oil for the 4 wheel drive since it uses magnetic action for locking the demand drive.

I use the Polaris oil on the RZR from RMATV/MC.

I’ll add that I use the Maxima brand of demand drive oil. I don’t have a preference for that over the Polaris other than we were getting racing support from them.

Tar and feathers is the only appropriate oil for a SxS.
I understand your hesitance to jump on the www and have to wait a day to get the right oil delivered. 🤦‍♂️ I'm going to break you of your aversion to correct maintenance at some point even if I have to live to be 100 to do it.

I used the interwebs and ordered maxima.

If I would have done that the first time it would have been here by now.
