Synthetic Rope brands?

I've been thinking about picking up a synthetic rope for the winch. The first brand that popped up on my search was Amsteel Blue. These run about 200$. Google brought up another brand "tuff stuff"

Have you guys ever heard/seen the Tuff Stuff brand? Google didn't have many reviews, maybe two forums that talked about it, but no clear reviews on the rope.

Any insight?

i use a winch 6 days a week and my cable gets dragged through dirt, rocks, asphalt and god knows what else. dont think i could trust rope to do that

i believe rope has its place but i see it more for comp scene not trail riding

For heavy use, I see the steel making sence as in your case.

But for the limited use a trail winch gets (mine just sits there) the benefits of rope are nice.

I will never get poked by frayed cable again I can see in the tow industry why cable is better, But our "trail" winches do not see that kind of use. With alot of people standing around most trail winchings, I feel that rope is safer. It also does not abuse trees like cable IF you ever had to tie directly to a tree.
