I was just talking to the lady at my office that handles our company cell phones today and she said that she has had atleast 50% of the pearls returned for warranty issues. She said the pearl is usually the problem, it quits working but she also said the other big issue is the keys seem to get stuck. I used to think the pearl was a nice phone but after talking with her, I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone.

If you want a blackberry, go for the new curve. It's fairly small, has a qwerty keyboard, and so far has had an excellent track record with our company.

I also have the pearl and i love it!! The track ball is magnetic and gets stuck sometimes but its easy to pop out and clean and will make it work like new. And it takes excellent pictures which was a plus for me. The only complaint i have is that my GH button is kinda not working very well. But the phone has a 1 year warrentee so if you just return it you get a brand new one free.

No $h&t? My screen just quit today, and we were under the impression that there were "as is", no warranty, ins. etc, have only had phone since march... I wonder what the up charge would be to go curve... x 2 on the pic quality.. had no idear that 1.3 could look so nice.
