I bought this 2003 Tacoma with 86K miles and it had new East Coast Gear Supply thirds put in at 82K. They are Nitro 4.88 gears. After running them a few thousand miles now, they are just too low for me and my current tire size for my highway needs. I def won't be going any bigger in tires any time soon (unless @sixstringsteve comes back to town and wants to come help me tub the cab for 35s....) so I'm thinking I'd like to swap the diffs out with someone looking to go lower. Gonna need 4.30s or 4.56s--nothing higher. And gotta be lowerish miles on them. Like 100K. These gears were installed at 82K according to the guy I bought the truck from and the truck just hit 90K.

1st Gen Tacoma or 3rd Gen 4runner. 7.5" IFS front and 8" e-locker rear.

I'm actually back in town at the moment. Not sure I have time to do an entire tubbing session, but I'd be happy to help you draw out where it needs to be cut. If I had everything prepped and all the tools there ready to go, I think I could tub two fenders in about 4 or 5 hours. How are your sheet metal welding skills? 35s on a tacoma are a thing of beauty. That being said, if your'e not going to be wheeling hard stuff like golden spike, 32s and 33s do great on a tacoma.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I appreciate your willingness to help anywhere you could. Thanks man. However, I'm not convinced I really want 35s on this thing, and I don't have any research into which wheels and tires I would do if I was... so ya, def wouldn't be doing a tub anytime soon really. Thanks though!

Offer of diff swap is still open to anyone interested...
