I've known of a few people who have done it. It gets interesting if you forget to leave it in neutral one night. You will need to bypass the clutch start cancel and I would probably go with a good brand of the alarm/remote start combo.

What are some good brands that offer that feature? I am not too concerned with alarm functionality.

Is your insurance payed up so that when it runs away without you (and sooner or later it will), you'll be covered?

(there's a reason you don't see these often on manuals)

I toyed around with installing one on my 89 toy with a manual. I couldn't bring myself to do it because I don't like depending on just my parking brake to keep my car from rolling away.

I got married, Most expensive remote start I ever purchased when it works. Other than that I am fully able to walk to my car and start it :)

I've always used Code Alarm or Viper. If you don't care about an alarm and/or don't have power locks you might as well just get the remote start by itself since they get kind of pricey with everything in one.
