Taste of Dakar - Adv Bike training with Jimmy Lewis

I would LOVE to participate in this 3 day training & event, it's held once a year at Death Valley, in March. You have the option of doing the ride only for $275 or the ride and training by Jimmy Lewis for $525... I would want the training, of course. I mean, how often to you have a chance to receive hands-on training from a guy that stood on the podium at the Dakar race?!? :freak:

( My problem with doing it next March is that our 10 yr anniversary is about the same time and we'll probably be out of country, celebrating. Perhaps March 2016? )

The 4 min video didn't impress me much.. Each of the testimonials was like "its fun to ride with buddies" I would expect more like "I was pushed to my limits, and really learned to control a bike in rough conditions" or "I was taught to ride with precision and skill, and how to do so while preserving energy"

The 4 min video was all about the ride, I don't think it had anything to do with the actual training. The long video is equally focused on the training & the ride IMO.

I hear ya! It's like a mini-movie about motorcycles...
