So I work for a large corp based out of NY. I have worked in their SLC office for 6 years and just recently got a job based out of NYC. They are sending out a crew to set up an office in my home and I will be working from there.

Anyone else telecommute? If so do you prefer it?

Welding and fabbing on lunch breaks is a nice plus :D

On the current project I am on, I get to telecommute 1 week a month. Which is great for me, because the other 3 weeks I commute to St. Louis and back. Working from home is harder especially if you have kids, which I know you dont Trout. You just have to lock yourself in and make yourself do what you have to do to get your deliverables done. Then you get to play.

First one on the way...keep telling my wife I need a p-cutter so I can fab up the crib :D

The problem is that she was also lead to believe that with the MM210 I could somehow weld up some jewlery.... :D

Congrats on the up and coming wee one. Dude, if she will let you have it, just for making her a little bling, I would jump at it. Thats almost as good as her buying it. Consent the hardest part to get.

I telecommute after hours... :ugh: (patching a solaris 8 box now)

It's one of those things we keep trying to talk them into letting us do once a week.
