tell me about mobile home axles

I didn't care for the limited options of wheels/tires available for those trailers, which is a big reason I sold that one I had with mobile home axles. Other than that, I didn't have a problem with the axles themselves.

If you have an odd pattern or it's a daton you can convert it to the more common 5 on 4.5 or 6 on 5.5 pattern for a little bit of cabbage. 30+ footers should have 5k~6k axles in them....

Oh and btw, you can buy 8.00 14.5's for le$$ than 7.00 15's

most of our boat trailers had mobile home axles, yes they will hold the load without too much issue, but they were nothing but problems. We were always loosing wheels, etc with them. After experiencing first hand all the problems we did I would never even think twice about owning any kind of trailer with mobile home axles. :-\

I have them under a flat deck trailer I have been using for years without any trouble. last month I hauled 17 loads of rocks to landscape with (way over loaded) and was expecting to have bearing troubles but didnt... I may have just been lucky. you do have to take extra time when changing a tire, if the wheel isnt centered perfectly on the hub it will cause an awefull bounce.
