Anyone know much about the Tera Trail?

Where is it?

What is it like?

Current Legality?

What would you rate it? (assume Moab scale)

How long does it take?

Thanks :D

I have been on it but it has been a while. it is really closer to Dugway than Tooele but it still isn't a bad drive. I would say it would rate an easy 3. It took longer to get to the trail than it did to run it. But last I heard it is closed :(

The land owner had closed access to the trail last time I was out there. it is over in the skull valley range, closer to dugway. From what I understand the trail is on public land but the access goes over private land. I agree on the rating of a 3 though.

As you come down the canyon though, before you get into Tera right where the run away truck ramp is, there is a fun little trail that I would rate a 3.5

if it's the one I'm thinking of, there is an old boy scout camp near the end??

If it is the one I'm thinking, there is also a cave near the end, called rock cave.

There was a yump on the sand road in, only time I have ever JUMPED the truck.

No camp that I know of. it kind of just ends in a small field ( though it looks like at one time it went back further.

No cave either that i saw.

though on the little spurt road I mentioned, here is an open mine shaft

aaaahhhhh

I've been up part of one of those... out screwing around on the way over the pass... looking at the crickets with my daughter LOL

I'll have to check those out as soon as the snow melts. Or the freakin fog lifts, whichever!

anyone know about the Serviceberry and Chokecherry Canyon trails?

no, not that Chokecherry... I mean the one south of Johnson Pass on that first map...

looks like it ends up down near Vernon, so I'll guess a bunch of scrub oak and maybe some nice views but not real challenging.... just wondering if anyone's taken it.

man there are quite a few dirt roads hidden in the bushes out there.....!
