TH350 "Kickdown" (detent cable) install question

Has anybody had experience installing one of these?? In the trans I am using it is broken off. I ordered the new one and just took it out of the box. The end that goes into the transmission has me puzzled. The cable flatttens out to a small washer looking end with a very tiny hole in it. What goes through the hole?? How do I get to it?? Any TH350 experts on here? Thanks IA for your help.

there should be an "S" shaped piece of wire that goes through the end...FWIW, the cable is not needed at all on a T350 unless you drive it on the road and need that kickdown...

Might be good for the sand dunes, right?

I just put a new th350 in my truck. I pulled the pan to replace the filter and was looking at how the cable works. It's really pretty simple. Once you get in there you'll be able to see how it works. Not a tough fix.
