TH350 Kickdown on '02 4.3L V6

I have this short little 34" kickdown cable on my TH350 and the throttle body on my 2002 4.3L v6 is mounted such that the cable needs to come from the front. The throttle body doesn't rotate either. I figure I'll can shift manually, but if I loan my Jeep out, that might be hard to explain. Are there any simple solutions to this?

Could you use a cable clamp bracket off of any older carbureted GM that would mount under an intake bolt? Or flip the bracket and bend/modify to mount it under a valve cover bolt?
