Just one thread on pirate, many more though if you search.

Alot of folk's have had success, some have broke.I figure a zuk is just a bit lighter and I wont be running huge tire's so it should stay together.I like the idea of running junkyard diff's at $50 rather than a set of $400 5.29's,no adapter's/t-case gear's to buy and can achive the same gearing...Plus I'm a cheap bastid and want to build something no one has done with a samurai:D

I have built a few Trackers and they wheel great. I have another long arm kit for a two door. I am thinking about building one for my wife, but may build it for me and update the samurai. My samurai has been fun. I set my samurai up with a 16 valve engine and manual trans. Long arm kits with dual rate coilovers. Dual t-case and 33 inch tires. I have never run a front locker. I go places I shouldn't. I run 4-10 stock toyota with rear locker. I had heavy duty drivelines built. I usually run the front case in low around town etc. Wheel base has been my only issue, but at times that is an advantage. I put it together in 2003 and have literally beat it TO DEATH. I have only broke rear end, Y-link, and front control arms. My rear housing has a half smile to it. I race the utility four wheelers out of the sand dunes and they play hell keeping up. I am still able to drive it down the highway and it handles great. Plenty of power up the freeway etc.. The best part about the coils and long arms is the control and no axle wrap and hopping on steep climbs.

Here is a weekend build I did http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/features/suzuki/1005_4wd_1987_suzuki_samurai/index.html
