Installed a new motoz rally front tire. The tkc 80 still had some life but it did have some cupping so I thought I'd get the matching front to the rear I'm running.

The rear has 1500 miles on it now, still looking good. 16237166112308943607019278799594.jpg

I'm running ride-on tire sealant/balancer in both the front and rear now.

I also bled the front and rear brakes while I was at it. The fluid was a little dark.

Well my schedule opened up this morning so I hopped on the big girl and headed out for a test ride. Turned into a nasty climb up out of Walsberg on a 2 track that was supposed to be a dirt road. Then about 120 more miles of dirt up around strawberry and down hobble creek.
This front hooks up so much better on gravel roads and the ride on appears to have them pretty balanced on the way up Provo canyon.
This bike is just a riot to ride.

I decided to check the air filters since I've done some dusty miles this year to see how the filter pods look.

After 2k miles you can barely see any dirt on the front filter. I was considering getting pre filters that go into the intakes on the front of the shrouds, but not anymore. I'll clean the filters every 10k miles with valve checks, since the tank will be off.
The power cell pods were a great investment.

I have a 10 day Adv trip planned for August. I've been researching GPS solutions. Decided to go with a rugged phone running locus pro. I picked up a kyocera duraforce pro used for $50. Got everything loaded on the phone, just need a mount. I ordered a quad lock with a mirror mount and wireless charging. Then built a bar to mount it to. We'll see how it works once the mount gets here.

And the bar it will mount to.

I love my quadlock stuff. It is my case of choice for my phone's.

The motoz rallz tires I have on the bike are showing some wear and with my Oregon bdr I figured I'd swap on new rubber. Going way less agress8ve this time. Motoz dual venture front and a motoz GPS rear.

Old and new front. The rallz has 3k miles on it and just started to cup. I could easily get another 1500 out of it.

Rear old and new. The rallz Rear has 4500 miles on it and could also go another 1000.

How they look on the bike.

I'll be using ride on balancer and sealant again. It works great balancing the tires and the added puncture protection is a nice perk.
Quick scrub in ride this evening they did great on the road and they were totally adequate on the dirt road.

My main problem with the old motoz rally tire is they're not speed rated.
The GPS looks WAY better for a bit more tarmac and the speed rating would give me more piece of mind.
That front should be lots better too.
