SALE PENDING

Price drop to $17,500 firm.

I'm still not real sure about this but I'm throwing the Super Ranger up for sale. This was an amazing comp buggy in the UROC Legend series, winning multiple World Championships, XRRA titles, and a 14th at KOH in 2009. In my humble opinion, it is the best buggy for the dollar on the market. As many of you know I bought it from Mitch, but then I also bought the complete set of spare alloy shafts, both front and rear for an extra amount. I've replaced most of the link ends, repaired the steering, replaced the frame side lower control arm mounts, done some electrical upgrades, added a new Odyssey battery, added a sound system, and repainted it.

Here is the original build sheet and most of these parts are still there.
Drivetrain
5.0L High Output Mustang V-8 bored 30 over
Early 90's Mustang short front kit
Billet Mallory distributor
Custom aluminum SFI bellhousing
Art Carr C-4 transmission w/ reverse manual valvebody and shorty adapter kit
Custom Art Carr 9.5" converter
Art Carr gate shifter
4.3:1 Atlas II with upgraded output shafts.
1350 driveshafts front and rear

Front Axle
Custom shaved high pinion Dana 60 (similar to a Pro-Rock 60)
Custom Dedenbear knuckles
ARB locker and 4.88:1 Precision Gears
Alloy USA 35 spline shafts w/ CTM U-joints
Poly Performance drive flanges

Rear Axle
Dana 60 low pinion
ARB locker and 4.88:1 Precision Gears
Alloy USA 35 spline shafts

Suspension
Custom engineered Fabtech non-emulsion coilovers tuned at King of the Hammers
Fabtech air bumps
Front 3-link (w/ panhard bar) and rear 4-link
Steel and aluminum links w/ QA1 joints

It still needs some things tweaked and some love, but it flat out works. I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Moab tomorrow. I need to keep it through KOH in February as a runner for the Sexton Off Road team, so it will be available Feb 10th. . Please no tire kickers or low ball offers. If you want something cheap there are less capable rigs out there. In fact there are less capable rigs out there for more money also. Asking $18,000, and will be pretty firm on that price. The Tube.jpgSH4.jpgSR1.jpgBigHole.jpg

That is one HELL of a deal of the price! Bart, I don't know about this... I think you'll be kicking yourself if/when it sells!

For the price people are asking for a barely functioning leaf sprung "built" rig this is an awesome price for an awesome rig. Good luck on the sale Bart.

Here's a little explanation on the thought process. Yes, it's been just over a year and I love the buggy. Problem is I've only used it 5 times this year. My wife is going out more with me these days the buggy lacks some comfort that I think would make it more enjoyable for her. I also really miss being able to drive something on the streets.

I think it is a great deal and will ask more when I post it on Pirate and KSL. Possible trades I'lm looking for are a built LJ, or a V8 powered CJ, YJ, TJ, or FJ40.

That's actually good to hear because I wasn't really too sure about parting with it. And, I wasn't sure how I was going to tell my wife that we may have to spend more on my "off-road crap" (in her mad voice).

Merry Christmas to you as well!

Saw this thing in Moab once, it's sweet! I really like the size and proportions of the whole rig.
