Those seats, what waist size and how wide is your chassis?
18.5's. I originally bought a 16" to try because it's not like I can just go sit in a Kirkey somewhere local. Too small for my Shakira hips. I planned on using the 16 for the passenger seat but then I found a potential argument in the WERock rules about the seats being the same so I bought another 18.5. If you need a 16 I'm your guy :p EDIT: or if you want to sit in either size so you know what to order, you're welcome to.

The chassis is just a hair over 51" outside-outside. WERock rules require a minimum of 48"

I hear ya on the try before you buy and thank you for the offer but I don’t exactly live across town anymore. I believe mine are 16 or 17. Pretty sure 17 because I wanted room for fire suit. They’re for the KOH rig and it’s 54” inside. I “settled” for the same seats you have because I didn’t want to risk the right side rib guard/bolster of the circle track seats to be too high or otherwise obstruct my right arm and shifting. I like sitting in them. Not sure how they’ll feel in the desert but I’m pretty sure I’ll love them over the suspension seats they replaced. I always had Kirkeys in my circle track cars 20 years ago.

Weird rule about same size seats.....

There were people back in the day that installed a child car seat as their "passenger seat", to fulfill the "2-seater" rule, while building essentially a single-seat car. I imagine that's where the wording of the current rule came from.

That's exactly right. While I really think I should be fine to use it since it's an "adult size seat" I had so many bad experiences with people complaining about my XJ skirting rules that I don't want to repeat with the pro mod.

There’s people who live in the gray area and then there’s just plain dumb asses who blatantly violate the rules in very poor taste.

Gotcha, the intent is valid but very poorly worded. Same seat/series/type/etc, adult whatever would be more appropriate I feel but like you said and since it’s poorly worded I agree that it’s also an opportunity for petty protest.

Petty protest is the best way to put it for sure.

I clapped my eyeballs on this thing the other day. I've got to say: it's quite well thought out. The packaging is pretty clever and I was especially impressed with the motor mounts.
I was actually surprised at how small the chassis is but how big the interior is. I guess when you're 5'16" you need some headroom.

Thanks sir. It’s been quite the adventure and I’m really trying to think through all of the packaging and make as few compromises as possible. Oh and I’m 5’18” 🤣

Went and got started on setting up the gears for the rear axle with @skippy this morning but didn’t have time to get it finished. I did however bring home 2 of my tires just for fun and it’s really cool seeing them next to the chassis. They’re HUGE!

I worked on it last night after getting my kids in bed. I got the seat tabs from Carlos over the weekend, got them drilled, welded the nuts on and chased the threads with my new tap kit (yay). I marked my new seat mount tubes to be able to center the seats and got them tacked in place. Afterwards I was like what in the world is going on here? It turns out the front seat mount holes on the Kirkeys are not centered. When I marked them I just assumed they were and placed them on the tubes accordingly. I guess this is why we tack things first :p

I’m not done with the mounts. Pretty sure I’ll add a tab on the outside rear of each seat and call it a day. Both seats sit on the Atlas on the inside front corner so I hit the seat welds with a flapper on the parts that touch it. Is that necessary? Probably not...
