In New York?

LT.

Yes. I'm working on a project at our corporate HQ this week. My shifts happened to get scheduled in such a way that I have basically 5 days to tour around NYC. I've never been before, so it's really exciting for me. There is so much to see!

I'm pretty convinced that place does not exist because I've never been there and your are part of the conspiracy to make me believe otherwise.

:spork:

I have a feeling you wouldn't care for it anyway.

Here you go, this might be more your style. Just up the road from the building I'm working from.

Cool photos. Did you get any of the recession? Looks like the new twin towers (Freedom towers, or something like that) are at the same point as they were last year.

For types like me - What do you do? I should look into that 5 day layover stuff.

Recession?

That is the construction of the new Freedom Tower. Good eye. I saw a different name for it today somewhere, but I forget what it was...

I work for Verizon Wireless. I'm an Operations Consultant. My normal job is complicated, but basically I do everything that needs to be done to keep the Salt Lake retail stores open and operating. On top of that I frequently work on additional projects. At the end of last year Verizon purchased Alltel. On October 17th we converted the Alltel customers to the Verizon billing system. I am currently working on a team that is handling issues that may arise from this billing conversion. Since we have stores open until 9 on the West Coast, we have to be available until 12 on the East coast to assist them if anything comes up, so we work in shifts. I arranged my flights, days off, and shifts to give me some time to explore. ;)

Man, I'm jealous! I was supposed to be in Connecticut last week to visit the in-laws, but that ended up getting pushed back until late December. I have never been to New England in the fall and I was so looking forward to it.

The colors are amazing in some spots. I had no idea New Jersey was this beautiful. Once you get out of Newark/Jersey City this is really a beautiful state.

Lets not let private ownership slow this down, is a good idea, private owners may destroy it, so in the best intrest of the poeple of the united states and for the future of our children (my children that will never see it any way) we should start locking it up!!!!!
