I just ordered my propane set up and I am looking around for some tanks. Just wondering if most of you run forklift tanks mainly or if any of you run the tanks that bolt in, between the framerails or into the bed. There is a guy selling a bolt in set up thats 30 gallons but there are also a couple 10gallon tanks for sale, just wondering if there are any major pros or cons to the bolt in truck tanks.

I am just using horizontal forklift tanks, I fabbed my frame backhalf to fit a propane tank underneath the body, in beteween the frame rails, and in the same location as the factory jeep fuel tank. With a heavy-heavy duty skid-plate o course.

I would think filling up would be easier cause you can just take the tanks in an not the whole truck. Thats one reason i would like the tank. Or if i ran out or was low at the trails i could just take my tow rig instead of loading the truck on trailer. I didnt think about building a skid plate for under it.

Yeah it does make it easier, I also have a 100 gallon tank at my dads house that I can buy in bulk and just fill up from it.
