Yeah, something like that. This is the second time the body has been off since May. Round one was to get the motor moved forward,fuel injection on, Th-350 installed, and new radiator mounted. After everything was in place round two started and it seemed that it would be easiest to take it all back apart to do the body work. It is pretty rotten. If you look close at one of the pics you can see the new "bump back" firewall I welded in for a little more clearance around the back of the motor. The old firewall was a piece of galvanized someone has riveted in. Here's a shot of the side panel right after I cooked 1/2" thick bondo off of it. Yuck. Anyway I have three days off this week and hope to get the new floors welded in and be ready to paint. Then round three is new axles, H1 rims and tires! Still trying to decide how wide to go. :D

This is a really interesting thread, contrary to popular belief some people really can't just pull out 20 bucks if they don't absolutely have to... :rolleyes: I am one of those who don't even have a computer, no computer, no internet, can barely pay the bills and eat, can't afford to buy my girlfriend a ring or help her get her car fixed so it ain't havin problems, do everything that I can to try and get ahead but can't, how does that make you feel... :p I will contribute when I can, it's not that I don't really want to... :(

I hope it doesn't ever get to the point that a person will not receive an answer because everyone knows they have not paid a contribution.

That brings up a good question....Why does everyone have to know if you have or have not paid? That little pink gear will never be by my name. If I was to donate it would be anonymous anyway.

Hmm, well I pay for magazine subscriptions because I am buying the info. The online forum bit is about info exchange. Someone at home helps me out of a jam or explains something to me, and they don't get paid a bit. In turn I try to help out other people, gratis.

I don't think I have a 1000 posts, but I have been here a long while, met a bunch of people from RME, and hope I have contributed as much as I have benefited (or at least in the neighborhood :D)

I shop with RME vendors and click on banner/google links.

This in no way means I am opposed to helping with the hosting/bandwidth costs, but the true value of web site/community like this is people helping each other. :)

But then who do you hold responsible for footing the hosting/bandwidth bill? ( not attacking you, just posting as a general question/statement) And if someone feels they do not need to donate, that is their own issue, and defenitely like Greg said should not be judged or treated differently. $20 buys me enough diapers to last my twin girls 2 weeks. I fortunately am okay financially that i can spare $20 extra...other people cannot, but that does not mean they should be singled out or excluded. now everyone HAVE A GOOD 4th OF JULY WEEKEND!!!!

Can we kill this one yet? My reason for posting was, I don't want to see this place die, like may freebies do... I knew a few who could, and might, and most did, so it's served it's purpose. Also, if it became mandatory, I probably wouldn't be here. You can say what you want, but this place is far better then POR, or any of the other boards.

My self, I'd like to see the pink gears, and wrenches dissappear totally, but I have no say-so. Also, and I'm puting this in writing, if I were to win anything (less then a new Rubi, I do have my limits), it will go back in the kitty for next month. I'd like to see the drawing opened up to all regulars also, no matter what your status is.

Ok, bash me now, but it did wake a couple people who "could" up. If you cant or wont for some reason? Don't worry bout it, nobody else is.
