okay for you that run TJs that are locked in the rear, when you take a sharp turn to the left with the front sway bar hooked up do you get the front driver tire in the air? it did it real bad with out the rear swaybar but still does it with. It is kinda cool but the cops are poling me over thinking I have hydrolics on it. Hell no do I look like a low rider to you (*slam* jail door shutting)
so is there a cure or are TJs just cursed with it?

Put a long arm kit on it, something with antisquat built into it. That is why Adam can't lift tires on his.

its a common problem with the TJs...like pokey said put a long arm kit on or some guys put leaf springs on the front to cure the problem...

It happened to me once in Moab. I hit the gass trying to make a left in front of some traffic, and WHOA!! my driver front lifted.

Scared the piss out of me. Since then, I just don't turn that tight or move that fast.

luckily, I don't have to use mine as a DD, so it isn't much of a concern.

My ZJ used to do it, quite easily too, hard left and heavy throttle, but the long arms have solved that. Cool as all hell when you lift a tire in the air while pulling a U-turn. Wish I could find a way to get the ZJ to lift a rear tire and piss fuel on other cars. :D

TJ have a big problem with it, especially when locked in the Rear. When Petersons build 'Elvis,' the first-ever TJ to be modified, they noticed the problem. I think they mentioned it has to do with a handful of facts including.... A Rear Locker, 4 Soft Coils, non-Flat Control Arm angles and Body Roll. You combine them all and you're lifting tires!

I have a friend that had a XJ that would do it, too. Trying to lift the Front tire on purpous once, he got both drivers-side tires off the ground! Talk about spooky! He never tired it purpously again!

Just drive with Sway Bars and track bars disconnected!!! I did it going to and from Moab... No problems in my YJ... But it is still SUA.

that's because your four banger doesn't have the nuts to do. You need a BIGGER motor. :D

Ahh, what your saying is I need one of those standard issue oil leaking rear main seal 4.0 inline Exxons Valdez engines to cause a loss of grip.

I will have to pass :)

Ah yes,

I forgot you're in a TJ a leany flexy TJ while my YJ will lean I don't need to worry about lifting a tire or almost rolling around corners, but I can't take corners over 15-20 (depends on how big corner is.) :D
