I bought my last set at sams club. I have found the wrangler mtr's pretty cheap there and they are pretty good about replacing them when you puncture them if you get the road hazzard warranty.

for alot of things I have been happy with Big-O....seem to treat me fair.

Also noticed another Montero Sport....very good! I have been getting ready to upgrade the tires on my '03 and can find all too little on what size will fit. Do you have any info??

(I will probably go with 265/75 R16- basically a 32x10.50 looks like it should clear)

If you want normal tires, give Pat a call at J&J tire in West Valley. He doesn't carry off road specific (swampers) or super size (largerthan 35's) but has good run of the mill AT's and MT's.

I buy my tires through RME. :D I have never bought new tires for my jeep. :p but i'm a fan of costco for prices, and Big O for service. Plus, Bio O will price match anyone, so I go to Big O and get costco prices with Big O service. :D

Im not sure about your '03, With my '98 MS it came stock with a 265/75515 I can do a "budget lift" that just involves cranking up the torsion bars and replacing the rear shcakles, that will fit 32s or your can swap the front IFS with a straight axle and do a spring over at the same time then you can fit 33s or with some trimming 35s.
You can find tons of info here: http://www.4x4extremesports.com/index.php Seems to be the best place for Monetero info I have found.

The 265/75 15 yours came with is about as tall or a little taller (about 30.6" on most brands) than the 255/70 16 I have. Going upto a 265/75 16 puts about another inch (different tires are listed between 31.5-31.7"), looks like it should clear without any modifications. Will have to try it and see!
