That's crazy, cool, and messed up all at the same time. I give the guys a lot of credit for building that himself.
I have to admit that bull dozer had some serious thought into it
Yeah, he spent 18 months building that thing and several buddies saw it coming together. Funny part is, nobody did anything about it. The Wiki article says that he was a guy you didn't cross, he wasn't afraid to retaliate and people knew it. I don't blame him for doing what he did, I think it's pretty damn cool actually. Nothing like putting small government a-holes in their place with an armored bulldozer.
I thought this part of the Wiki was interesting, guy made quite a name for himself-
Fate of the bulldozer
On April 19, 2005, it was announced that Heemeyer's bulldozer was being taken apart for scrap metal. It was planned that individual pieces would be dispersed to many separate scrap yards to prevent admirers of Heemeyer from taking souvenirs.
Granby is a small town, I've spent a lot of time there. We were in SoCal when this happened, but every time I'm up there I look for signs of 'Dozer destruction. :greg:
