Tooele Police

Well the wife called last night to say she got pulled over in the jeep for no front plate:mad:. When they pulled her over he even told her he thought the jeep might have been stolen:eek:. I wonder why they would think that for just not having a front plate? She told them it was her husbands jeep and they said oh that explains it:rolleyes:. What would they mean by that:confused:? Just gave her a warning for not having one:). I wonder if she can make it until June when we move.

To hell with front plates. I say leave it off I think you should be okay. Neither one of my cars has a front plate and neither does my wifes car. No problems yet. If they pull you over again just throw a fit and ask them if they pull over every Corvette they ever see. I have never seen a front plate on a Corvette they all have the Corvette logo plate thing. Good Luck

File a complaint. Presumptive #@($#&$ cops deserve it. Saying you think a vehicle might be stolen, for no real reason whatsoever, is bad police work.

Could it be that they had a report of a stolen jeep and yours might have matched the description? They used the lack of a front plate as reason to pull your wife over and investigate.

Why not just put the front plate on. Thats takes 2 minutes. A lot less then the time to get pulled over

Well I guess that could be true but I have not seen one like mine in Tooele. Not even close to the same color.

Well I have a tow bar on the front and the brackets cover the area for the stock plate. I guess I will have to drill holes somewhere so I can put it on. I have owened the jeep for a little over 10 years and have never got pulled over for no front plate.

It's not built up.... but she should file a complaint.

Why? The law requires a front license plate. She broke the law. She was pulled over for breaking the law. She was released with only a warning! I don't see anything to complain about. He could have given her a ticket...

Harrassing her is outside the scope of the law. I don't disagree with him pulling her over.

You mean my wife is not built up or the Jeep? Well I have not seen others wifes but I think she is built up. As for the jeep it is not as extreme as others but it is not stock.

 I was referring to the Jeep. ;)

This is true but is it considered a primary offense? And how many people have ever been pulled over or even ticketed as a secondary offense. I've had my truck for 11 years and a front plate has never been mounted on it.
