Give it time and there will be no fireworks allowed anywhere, Colorado already has a statewide ban.

Utah needs to follow suit. Don't get me wrong, I love blowing stuff up just as much as the next guy (if not more), but this year its just not safe, unless youre out in the middle of the salt flats, the sand dunes, or surrounded by water.

Hogwash! In my neighborhood here in Orem it's as safe as it's ever been.

Utah should hurry and put together a hugh Fireworks festival out to the salt flats, so as people and fireworks vendors have a place to set off the millions of dollars worth of fireworks sold in Utah....then call for a statewide ban everywhere else.

Not my neighborhood in Orem. If so much as a spark hit the field next to my house, my house and the house across the field would both be gone within an hour. I won't even ride my dirt bike in the field anymore because I'm scared of causing anything.

Orem has a ban in undeveloped areas of town. There's a big list with every cities restrictions and maps on ksl.com

well, Alpine now has a fire burning above it... and I know they have a fireworks ban. I'm going to go out on a limb and ASSUME that a fire on the 3rd of July was probably started by fireworks.
