Hey, I need to change the timing belt in my wife's '01 4Runner. Does anybody happen to have the tool that makes it so you don't have to remove the A/C compressor? I think it's Snapon part YA9730.

you dont need it but its a good tool. a trick i use it to put a braker bar on the crank pully pinned to the battery(dont short it). put a 17 on the pssengers side cam bolt and turn to twards the drivers side slowly adding a little more pressure and slide a pin or (small allen) into the hole when yous comressed enough to hold it. keep in mind your doing this with the t/belt on. and it uses the belt to compress the tensioner. saves me the money of buying one :)

Cool...thanks for the tip. I'll probably end up trying that. I just don't have time to order the Snapon tool before the weekend and I also hate the idea of buying yet another $50 one time use tool.
