I have the chance to get a 94 2wd toyota short bed for free.
My question is will it fit my 85 4wd??

It should bolt right up, the body lines are just a bit different.

I would like to see what it looks like if you do it.. if you don't mind.. I have an 84 and don't have part of my bed due to rust.. can't live too awful far from you either

the wheelwells should be in the same location. They may be smaller in 2wd than 4wd.... I doubt it will directly bolt in, but the brackets needed would be east to make.

I was gonna do it on my old 84, I am 99 percent sure it will bolt right up if I remember right and the body lines will even match up, they'll just look a bit different. So I say go for it.

And I think I will just cut the wheel wells to fit my 35's

if both truck are short bed all body mounts are identical. if its a extra cab all body mounts are identical. i know someone who has done this he bought a bed direct from toyota brand new off the shelf and it bolted right up to his 84 extra cab.
