Toyota E-Brake

Does anyone know if the back half of a '85 e-brake will work with the '92 rear axle I bought? Thanks!

I had issues with it when I swapped to a wider rear end I don't think they are the same...

I am slightly confused...
Are you asking if the e-brake from the 85 will work on the 92 axle or if the back half of the 92 e-brake assembly (attached to the 92 axle) will bolt up to the 85 truck... I think the prior will not work where as the later one will...

pauls right, sorry. youl have to swap in the longer cables off the newer (92) axle

Sorry, I assumed that you already had the axle end of the e brake assembly.

The '92 didn't come with cables. The guy cut them (and the brake lines) when he pulled the axle. Reflecting back on the character of the individual and the hastiness with which it was pulled I worry it might have been stolen.

You can use the earlier cable if you want to make extensions, the mechanism is the same just the length is different.
