What or where is the wire(s) that connect to the battery?I know the starter hook's up to the battery but for the life of me cant figure out what other connect's also....I keep thinking there is only one from the underhood fuse box but dont see it.

For an '88 4runner harness(22RE swap in a samurai)I imagine the earlier EFI harnesses should be the same...Maybe someone with a EFI yota could glance under the hood....Just checked the J-yard here and the toy's I've found are either missing the entire harness or have been cut out.Any help would be greatly appreiciated,Thank's.:)

There is a wire that goes from the underhood fuse box to the battery. It is either red or white, and is about 10 gauge, I believe. It provides the power to the system, i.e., the EFI and such. FYI, you can google and get a FSM with wiring diagrams for free.

Ok,I will check the harness.Right now I just dont see any extra,I dont know if it's hiding in the loom or what. That's my project for the day plus welding in the exhaust/02 sensor and fire it.I will post my finding's later, thank's again for the info.

Does that power wire run from the 80A fuse(underhood fuse box)Then???

I looked underneath the fuse box where the wire's go to the 80A fuse and it look's like the terminal is broken. The rest of the wire's are stiil there just look's like where a wire terminal slipped on the little nub is missing/broke. No other big 10gauge wire anywhere else by itself in that area so it has to go there????.

EDIT---- Schematic shows it goes thru a fusable link to the 80A labeled as a W wire which lead's me to believe I need to run a wire from the batt to the 80A fuse box,Anyone confirm this???

Yes, and if you take the box apart there is a bolt on the side of the 80 amp where you can use a connected and connect your main power if the normal way is broken(that's how mine is) From the factory there is a fusable link in there too, I am using 8 gauge speaker wire with a 50 amp car audio fuse so far i havnt had any problems. Make sure everything is tight that's a pretty common problematic wire, but usually do to poor wiring/ trail fixes turned into permanent solutions.

Done it and she turn's over but wont fire...Fuel pump dont work. Will be tracking grounds after work. It's a plug and play since I used the whole harness but I'm missing a ground on the pass side that come's from the harness right by the computer so I hope that is it.

My problem was a plug by the computer,I had 2 mixed up causing the fuse to blow. Also had a wire at the column cut for some unknown reason which run the check engine/charge light on dash.As soon as that wire was connected I had power to the pump....Needless to say it fire's and run's like a top now.

Thank's for the help:)
