What is the difference between an 87 4 runner frame and the same year truck?

As far as I know just a few extra body mounts.

Like Kyle said, not much more than a couple body mounts and the fuel tank sits about 2" lower on the 4Runner to help clear the rear bench.

Also the wheelbase would be longer depending on the truck. The wheelbase on a the 87 extra cab is about 113" the runners are around 105"
