Toyota front axle seals.

I am working on this for a guy. It is leaking gear oil into the wheel bearings. I have found the oil seal located inside the knuckle. I need to find the gasket located right behind the spindle. Also it says to use mos2 grease to pack the knuckle with. What is this stuff and where can I get it?

On a side note redoing that front end was the worst experience of my life.

This is what happened to mine.. btw I didn't put this side together, I was working on the other side while my cousin did this side... guess it helps to put it together right..

this was inner and outer bearings.. neither would move

I need to stop by and get a hub socket. I've never took one of these axles apart. Is it possible to just change the wipers or do you have to change all the seals and shims? Is it common for it to be leaving a film of grease on the ball or does that mean the wipers are shot? Thanks

Kurt is the man for all your needs to rebuild it right.
Use the Marlin seals to stop the diff oil from coming into the Birf. Wipers alone will not solve your problem.

No, the wipers are one piece and can only be installed from the outside in. You could theoretically cut them and install them but your problem isn't the wipers, its the inner seal and once you get that far you are a few bolts away from just doing it all. Don't change the shims, put them back on in the exact order and location you removed them for proper preload.
