Toyota fuel pump

Where is the fuel pump for an 84 22R?
My engine stopped getting fuel so I am assuming that is what is wrong I am a bit of an engine tard. I went to Autozone and they gave me some pump that bolts to the block but I don't see where it is. I thought it would be in the tank but I'm not totaly sure now.

It's on the side of the cylinder head, front left(?) if I remember correctly. It's an easy swap, couple bolts & the hoses & you're good to go.

Thank you I found where it should be but it had been by-passed and replaced with electric. I found out it was just a wiring problem which I like a lot better
