Toyota Rear axle

I have a Toyota rear complete drum to drum. Seem to have open diff, but I dont know much more about it. It came as a roller on my buggy chassis. Asking $100 obo.View attachment 2012-06-20 12.04.12.jpg

Does it have 3 or 4 fins down the side?

3 would be 4 cyl
4 would be v6

If this is the axle in your buggy build thread, it looks to have 5-lug axles... That probably means it was from a 2wd truck. That also means it may not be a standard 8" ring gear. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the info. It was on the buggy to make the rear a "roller" so I have no info on it at all.

I might have a home for this. I can't tell, is it still set up for leaf springs?

It's also upside down under the chassis, which is a pretty fantastic way to use it as a roller axle.
