I have 4:88's for an 87 toy pickup. I know the gears are our of the IFS axle, but could i use those same gears in a toyota straight axle? Better said, are the thirds interchangeable between IFS and solid Toyota axles?

Nope. Solid axle and IFS are very different sizes.

I am looking for a toyota IFS 4.88 7.5" gear ratio. LMK if you are willing to sell it to me.

P.s. you are looking for a 4.88 8" gear set.

I don't think that i'm going to sell it yet. It's cheaper right now to just put together the IFS and save for a solid than to do the solid now. But thanks.

the 3rd member in your rear axle is interchangeable with other toyota 8" solid axles. your front diff is a differant size and is not interchangeable.

Dont know what you have but I have a 4" lift that I will be pulling for a SAS if you are interested.
