Has anyone had a problem like this? When its cold and I go to start my 99 Tacoma it cranks once and then dies. It does this a couple of times then starts. When its warm it does not do this. It has a new battery and the cables are secure. When Checker tested it they said everything was OK and I had it done at 2 stores.
Thanks

check the fluid level in the holes under the caps on top of your battery. if they are low fill them with DISTILLED WATER. This should rejuice it.

I am assuming that you hear a destinct CLICK but the starter doesn't turn? After a few tries it then will turn the motor. It has something to do with the cold cylinoid. I have the same prob in my 86 22r right now. Haven't figured out what to do about it yet....
