So im starting to collect parts for gearing my runner down by swaping in a 4.7 geared case and so far i need a auto tranny adapter(dont think ill find one used so $500), gear driven case ill have one soon, 4.7 gears 449 from Marlin crawler and build my sweet cross member.

So my question is about the twin stick that i want also. They make a twin stick for my current case that i almost bought before delta but didnt have the cash, and they make a twin stick for every other toyota case, but im wondering if anyone on here has made their own from scratch.
I thinking some how re-using the stock shifter and moding it or making a custom base.

What do you guys think:confused: 189 bucks isnt really all that bad but i like making custom stuff but i need some insight on this thanks:greg:

its not so much the price i just think it would be cool to make a custom shifter that way it would fit exactly to my 4runner, ive seen several people with clearance issues with there seats and stuff. Maybe i just need to borrow someones so i can make sure i wont have any issues with fitting them, the twin sticks i was looking at are from front range off-road,
oh and yeah ill get the heavy duty spring for sure

I've seen a few homemade ones but I've yet to see a homemade one that works as well as my trail gear one.. I'm not saying it cant be done I'm just saying why reinvent the wheel? If you want to come look at mine before my cases get picked up your more than welcome to

thanks rob i just might do that this weekend i know i dont really need to do it i just thought i could make some trick ones and save a little dough while at it, but i dont know if its worth screwing with it, i have never seen a home brew one but this one will be professionally bent and shaped

get a triple from raddesign, I think they are pretty gangster

That is cool i like it, im not planning on running doublers but if i was i would be all over the triple stick. I think i will buy a twin stick and maybe make the shifts a little different so they are easy to move and not cramped. Oh and i defiantly will be putting custom skulls for shifts knobs on top:D:D
