So... I love rock crawling but it is kinda tuff on the family. So I am looking for some nice trail runs. Some obsticals are ok but nothing like 5 mile. Just want to take the family offroading. If anyone knows of some good trails that not everyone with a car can run on would be great. I know of Jacob City in stockton and some of the other trails in middle canyon. SO lets hear them.

I would think American Fork Canyon would offer a lot of what you are looking for, with the connections down into Wasatch state park.

You should come to the San Juan Mountains in SW Colorado this summer in the Ouray, Silverton, Telluride, Lake City areas. Hundreds of miles of easy 4x4 old mining trails all over these high peaks and valleys. Most are easily run by your average stock SUV. Fantastic alpine views and high passes, waterfalls, old mines, wildflowers, ghost mountain towns, interesting modern day mountain towns, lots of hikes. I wandered for years with my family with just stock Ford Explorers.

I need to do this. I keep seeing pics from the San Juans and Uncompaghre that blow me away.
