Just a quick question. I have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee that I believe the t case is going out on it. A lot of noise in 4 wheel drive. 4 full, 4 part and 4 low but not 2wd. I'm wondering if it's feasible to swap a different t case like out of a similar year wrangler or such. I know sometimes it's very specific to the transmission. I'd like to get away from the whole 4wd full time thing if I can. If not, does any of you know a decent shop and possibly pricing on a rebuild? Thank you.

I swapped a 231 into my WJ years ago. It was the 4.7 drivetrain setup. I took the input shaft out of the stock case and it swapped right into the 231. Making the shifter work took more time than I would like to admit but it worked and used the factory interior console and shifter
