Trespassing in Dinosaur National Monument yesterday...

It was beautiful!! I could have hit at least 5 bucks with a rock from the comfort of my pickup truck. It was serene, and amazing, and I highly suggest everyone do it!

I didn't see another soul on the "closed" areas. A pretty heavy snow storm came through last week and brought down a lot of trees that were still bearing leaves so we moved a few and drove over a few more but it appeared others had also done so. I was expecting to see park police on patrol but I am sure their hours have been slashed and it is a BIG park to patrol.

The main ranger lives in a house at the very bottom of Echo Park trail.

You can see the house in the pics. We saw no signs of life but we didn't go over to the house. We were probably 1/4 mile from it at the time. We didn't announce our presence but we didn't try to hide it either.
