so. I know you all miss me, so I had some free time and a Panera bread within range (free wireless! woo hoo. ), thought I'd say hey. Hey!
so far I've spent: about $900 on gas (which is an AWESOME 2.85 in Ohio right now, love that! oh yes. Good for profits.), $1400 on repair (grrrrrr), $330 on a rental car (with a 25% discount at that! daaaam, coverage adds up!), around $125 on food, $114 on supplies, $55 on tolls (most of that in NY, those @#$*!'s!!), $42 on movies and audio books, and $139 on hotels. Total expenditure to date, since the 20th of March: $3195. HOT DOG! that is pretty sweet. So far I've turned in invoices for just over $1300! weee. So by the end of the week I should be turning a profit finally. That is good news!
The weather has been aggravating. It was nice when I got here, but then it snowed and rained for about a week, and got really, really cold... and today it's about 70 and sunny as hell. So I don't know. Hopefully it will stay really nice out so I can work all night and make up the lost time this truck cost me. I'm about a week behind so far. In a week I'll be in Akron OH, where I will be checking in at Summit to ogle the pretty engines they put in the catalogs and which are all on display along 2 walls of the enormous showroom... and goggling through the clearance section. Last time they had Milodon oil pans for BBC for $80.. and me without a big block then! Ha! And a sweet Hi-lift for $30. Also going to try and swing by Pace Performance and price some upgrades for the trucks, if I can get over that way.
Then off to WV and National Tire and Wheel for some more ogling, maybe pick up some new front springs for this truck, to fit the enormous Cummins oil pan when I get it... After that, the hell of Pittsburgh and its hills, then over to pick up my PA CCW near State College, and off to Millerstown and my friend Tom's inherited farm.. where I will help him finish up his M35 Crane Project (he put a HEMMT crane behind the cab of his deuce... !!! freeeeak), and discuss the best way to swap a Cummins into this truck in a weekend.
then I'll finish up work, pick up my wife in NY, visit some stuff, and head home, Cummins and monster truck frame in tow. YEEEE HA
so that's my dispatch from here. Nothing much happening.
