I hate to make ANY judgements based on just one source and without hearing much from the other side of the story and theres obviously tons more to the story, but from that article it seems clear that:
a) The PD was being run a little less than professionally (but probably not too much different than most I would guess).
b) Guenon had a MAJOR axe to grind.

Not surprising at all that he got fired, since he obviously was not a member of the team and didn't want to play their games. Whether or not that was a good thing remains to be seen.

Weird story.

Makes ya wonder what the wives and daughters of the other officers think about having those pics on the news. Being part of a public safety org it doesn't suprise me they got rid of him for doing all those things, and if he isn't part of the "in" crowd he kinda hung himself

I think the picture thing was a petty thing that screamed tattle tail, I'm going to take my ball and go home.... The explosives could have been handled better.

Strange story. I think both sides might have handled this differently. I don't think the guy will ever work in law enforcement again at least in this state. There's some things that the media will do for you and others that going to the media is a career limiting decision.

I have some friends that used to work in law inforcment (UHP) it was a partying place, wife swapping and all, and kids exsposed to it also. that type of personal life style cant exsist in law inforcment with out some type of corruption. then the personal corruption leads into the work enviroment. In a police department that is bad news.

Now after some jail and or prison time and careers and life destroyed.
Getting fired may not be so bad.....?

I know it took alot of years for them to get there careers going again. I dont think that there personal lives have ever recoverd.

Jack is my girlfriends ex husband and we know a lot about this story.. just not sure what we can say yet... but I can say that the reason that he got his benefits back was the judge caught the police chief in a lie and the city manager actually stated that they did let him go for no cause but was not going to bring him back on...

This has been moved up to a federal level in the whistle blower act and should be getting finalized in the next week or two....

Ksl is doing a follow up story I believe which will tell more about what all has happened...

Look for Gi's chick to up date this later...
