Tube benders????

What's the cheapest (price) tube bender I can buy? I obviously don't want one that will deform the pipe. Anyone have one for sale or recommend a setup I can put together. I'm wanting one that will bend 1.75" .120 wall dom tubing for a cage.

JD2 Model 3 or ProTools equivalent at the very minimum, if you want good results. They can also be converted to hydraulic for pretty cheap later on if needed.

I bent my entire buggy chassis and a friend's chassis manually with a JD2 Model 3. It's a great bender.

X2. They are good stuff.

you can build a bender for pretty cheap if you had access to a machine shop or are killer good on a drill press but the part of the bender that is expensive is dies. I don't really think it would be worth it to build one cause the bender itself is only about $300-$400 and then about that per die is where it starts to add up. I've heard rumor that you can rent them from some places. If you are only doing one project I imagine that would be the most economic way to go.

Keep an eye on ksl, there was a pro tool bender with a 1.25 die a few weeks ago for like 550.00 I think. They pop up from time to time.

I have machined the parts for a member of this board to build his own, but he did say he would just buy a bender if he had to do it again.

Yeah dude cant go wrong w JD2! the model 3 is the sh!t and its on sale right now cuz they just came out w the model 32! i've got alot of hours behind the model 3 and i love it. i like it even better than the model 4!

I have not seen many people think of this, but it would be solid and cost less than the low cost benders... Any tool rental company that works with Construction equipment can rent you one. Buy all of your tube, get your numbers for sure, and then just rent a really good one, do the bends, and return the thing. Then weld it all up after that. You can even mock it up with duct tape if you really want to prior to returning the thing.

It would cost a LOT less, and you can rent a really nice one for a day or a week or so.

Anyhow, just a thought.
