TV review: PERSONS UNKNOWN

I'll preface this by saying that, like Amy, if I like a show, it is cancelled after just enough episodes to get you into it and wondering what will happen next, and then POOF.

Anyway tonight was the pilot episode for "Persons Unknown", a gripping little psychological circus so far. People are kidnapped and wake up in a hotel, in a small mountain "town" that they can't apparently leave, due to, possibly, anasthetic dispensers sewn into their legs. But there is an awesome Chinese restaurant, and a night manager for the hotel they're "staying" at. And a Ford van that came from somewhere.

Now. Off the bat there was some hysteria, some ludicrous oversight, some lack of action taken, some statements accepted at face value. Chick breaks apart a drawer to get a nail? A NAIL??? in a piece of hotel furniture? Please. And then tries to pick the lock? Why not just kick the damn door down? Ferrari kid from Ferris Bueller grabs a couple people in a ludicrous non-lock and throws his weight around willy-nilly?? really? Just freak out right off the bat? C'mon. No one sees the patient bracelet in the "counselor's" institutional robe? well ok. Maybe.

So far I'm intrigued but through a sideways glance at the TV. We'll see how this goes but it's got an interesting premise for now.

I saw 5 minutes of it and decided I'd rather detail the Xterra.. So that's what I did.

I had a sleeping kid in my lap, or I might have gotten up.. next episode will be the corker. It's got kind of a cheesy "Prisoner" vibe to it so far.
