So I want to put a shifting diagram in the xj for the twin sticked d-300.
Does anybody have any pictures of a good diagram they have put in their rig?
When my wife started driving the bronco I drew one and taped a piece of paper on the dash, the three sticks still confused the hell out of her and add to it that the 205 didn't like to disengage the front output it was a frustrating endeavor for her. (her mind got stuck on "I need 4wd" not "I need to engage the front end")
(on the xj the doubler box will be shifter by a switch so that should make things a little less confusing)
I also think that when you build the box and shift linkage it is easy to understand so in my bronco I didn't need a shift diagram, but I think anyone else especially when they are not used to twin sticks would be lost.
what I drew up on paper in the bronco was kind of like this;
F R X2
H H H
N N N
L L L
